In the past, many women avoided having their pictures taken during pregnancy, only to regret this decision years later. Photographs are a wonderful tool for reminiscing about special events. Plus, many children enjoy seeing pictures of “themselves” when they were in mommy’s tummy. While you may not feel your most stunning while pregnant, pregnancy is beautiful and it is certainly a special time in your life.
Documenting pregnancy through pictures is certainly becoming more common and I encourage you to consider getting some pregnancy photographs. It’s important to find a photographer whose work you like and who makes you feel comfortable. Recommendations from friends can be a great place to start in your photographer search. Getting some pictures taken while pregnant also means that you’ll have established a relationship with a trusted photographer during pregnancy, so you’ll know just who to go to when you’re ready to get your baby’s newborn and baby pictures.
