How many classes are included?
HypnoBirthing is covered in five classes and we add a sixth class taught by a registered nurse that teaches the essentials of breastfeeding.

How much do the HypnoBirthing classes cost?
The 5-week HypnoBirthing class costs $295. This price includes:
- 5 HypnoBirthing Classes for the mom and her companion
- 1 Breastfeeding Class*
- 1 HypnoBirthing book and 2 Audio CDs

Does insurance cover HypnoBirthing classes?
Many insurance plans do pay for childbirth education classes. However, it is recommended that you contact your insurance company to determine if that is included in your plan. If needed, we can give you an insurance reimbursement form to assist in your claim.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, and credit cards.
Does hypnosis really help with childbirth?
A large study published in 1993 by M.W. Jenkins and M.H. Pritchard in the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology found that women who used hypnosis during childbirth had shorter labor and used less pain medication. Here are some of the results from the study:
- First-time moms: average first stage of labor with hypnosis 6.4 hours compared to 9.3 hours
- without hypnosis
- Moms who had given birth before: average first stage of labor with hypnosis 5.3 hours
- compared to 6.2 hours without hypnosis
- Pain medication: both groups of hypnosis moms used significantly less pain medication than
- the non-hypnosis moms

Can I just buy the HypnoBirthing book and come see you if I have questions?
You’re welcome to do that. We can certainly appreciate a do-it-yourselfer! However, there are three reasons we’d recommend against that:
- Cost. At our normal hourly rate, it would cost over $1,400 for the same amount of time outside of the class package. Even if you were to meet with us for only 3 hours for some targeted Q & A, you’d end up saving money by taking the class.
- Content. While the HypnoBirthing books is extremely informative, the purpose of the class is to convert that knowledge into applicable skill sets to prepare you for a safer, calmer, and more comfortable birth. As a result, there is a lot offered in the class that you won’t find in the book.
- Fun. As educators, we try to make the class not only educational but enjoyable. We seek to create an environment that is engaging and interacting to maximize receptivity and skill integration.
Why is the HypnoBirthing class so inexpensive compared to your normal hourly rates?
We believe that assisting parents in having the birthing experience that they want is extremely important and we love to be a part of that process. In addition, we don’t want there to be any reason for a couple not to take this class. The results that our HypnoBirthing moms report to us about their HypnoBirths are truly amazing and are echoed by moms around the world who have used the HypnoBirthing method. As a result, we want parents interested in natural childbirth to have the opportunity to experience the joy that is HypnoBirthing.
What if there aren’t any HypnoBirthing classes near where I live?
Contact us and we’ll do our best to work out a solution with you. Sometimes even though a practitioner is listed in a specific city and state, they may vacation elsewhere and be willing to teach a class while on vacation. We can contact other HypnoBirthing practitioners to try to work something like this out for you.
